CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Keys will be handed directly to guests at the accommodation between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Please confirm your estimated arrival time in advance. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, keys must be collected at our office (R. Constante Ramos 43A, Copacabana). For key delivery after 8:00 PM, an additional fee of R$ 150 will be charged.

Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available upon request and is subject to availability.

HISTORY AND ORIGINS

The settlement of Copacabana began in the 18th century when it was still an isolated area called Sacopenapã. The current name came after a chapel was built there in honor of Our Lady of Copacabana, the patron saint of Bolivia. The area’s development accelerated at the end of the 19th century with the inauguration of the Túnel Velho in 1892, connecting the neighborhood to the rest of the city and stimulating real estate expansion. By the 1920s, Copacabana had become a haven for both local and international elites, especially after the opening of the Copacabana Palace Hotel (1923), which hosted royalty, presidents, and celebrities. Significant events, such as the Revolta dos 18 do Forte (1922) and the creation of the iconic Portuguese stone promenade—with its famous wave pattern designed by Burle Marx in the 1970s—have made Copacabana an open-air museum of history and culture.
