CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

CHECK-IN: From 2:00 PM. If you would like to arrive from 9:00 AM, this is possible at no extra cost, as long as there is no guest checking out that day — please let us know your estimated arrival time in advance so we can have everything ready for you.

All guests must provide identification documents at least 72 hours before arrival — your personal information is protected under data protection laws.

Everyone entering the property must identify themselves at the entrance for everyone's safety.

Keys are handed over in person. Important: arrivals after 8:00 PM may incur an additional fee; please notify us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements and keep any extra costs to a minimum. If your check-in is via code, you can arrive at any time hassle-free.

CHECK-OUT: Until 12:00 PM. You may check out by 3:00 PM at no extra charge, provided there are no new guests arriving that day.

If your stay involves physical keys, simply leave them on the table, disconnect any equipment, dispose of waste properly, and close the door behind you. If you need to store your luggage, we are happy to assist you at our base: Rua Constante Ramos, 43A, Copacabana.

ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Copacabana is a world-renowned symbol of Brazilian tourism, famous for its sweeping shoreline and the iconic wave-patterned boardwalk designed by Burle Marx.

HISTORY

The neighborhood’s history dates back to the 17th century, when merchants from Bolivia and Peru brought a replica of Our Lady of Copacabana to a small chapel in the sandy Sacopenapã area (the region’s original indigenous name). True urban development only began at the end of the 19th century with the opening of Túnel Velho in 1892, which allowed streetcars and horse-drawn carriages from Botafogo to access the area. A major milestone of sophistication came in 1923 with the opening of the Copacabana Palace, a hotel that put Rio on the map for Hollywood stars and European royalty. The neighborhood has hosted key moments in the country’s republican history, such as the Revolt of the 18 of the Fort (1922), and today stands as the cultural epicenter of the city, home to the largest New Year’s Eve celebration in the world.
