ABOUT ACCESS TO THE SPACE, CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Access to the space is autonomous and secure through an electronic lock. The access code will be sent to the guest on the day of arrival, around 1 p.m.

Check-in is available from 2 p.m. and check-out must be completed by 12 p.m. (with the possibility of extending until 3 p.m., subject to availability).

It is mandatory to provide photos of the identification documents for all occupants at least 72 hours prior to arrival. This is required for 24-hour front desk access, in compliance with data privacy regulations.

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD

History and curiosities: Flamengo is one of the most traditional and historic neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro, with roots dating back to the city’s founding in the 16th century. The origin of its name has intriguing stories: the most well-known refers to the Dutch navigator Olivier van Noort, who attempted to invade Guanabara Bay in 1599. At the time, the Portuguese referred to people from the Netherlands as "Flemish," and the landing site became known as Praia do Flamengo. Another account attributes the name to flamingos that once inhabited the Rio Carioca’s marshy area. During the republican era, the neighborhood became a political and intellectual center, home to aristocratic mansions and embassies. Strolling along its tree-lined streets is like traveling back to the golden age of Rio’s architecture, with Art Deco and eclectic buildings preserving the charm of the former federal capital.
