GENERAL NOTES

We are located on Rua Urbano Santos, in one of the safest and most charming areas of the city. The apartment is equipped with an electronic lock, offering you extra security and independence. Children and pets are welcome!

For families with babies, a portable crib and children's bedding are available upon request with at least 1 day's notice. Complimentary bed linen and towel changes are provided every 7 days (please request in advance).

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Everything has been designed to ensure your independence and comfort.

Check-in is completed remotely, and your access code will be sent on the day of your arrival, around 1:00 PM (please check your Wi-Fi connection). You may enter from 2:00 PM onwards.

Guest identification documents must be sent at least 72 hours before arrival. All your information is protected in accordance with data protection regulations.

ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Urca is one of the most charming and peaceful neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro, featuring a residential atmosphere, quiet streets, and some of the most spectacular views in the city. This area blends history, nature, and a genuine neighborhood feel, making it perfect for those who want to be close to major tourist attractions without sacrificing quality of life.

History and Local Identity

Up until the end of the 19th century, Urca did not exist—the waters of Guanabara Bay reached directly to the rocks in the area. The neighborhood was created on reclaimed land in the 1920s as part of an urban development project, transforming the region into one of Rio's most exclusive addresses. On this stretch of land, between the hills known as Cara de Cão and Sugarloaf Mountain, Estácio de Sá founded the city of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro in 1565. The São João Fortress marks this historic spot and preserves the memory of the city's founding.
