GENERAL NOTES

We are located on Rua Urbano Santos, in one of the safest and most charming neighborhoods in the city. The apartment features an electronic lock, providing you with extra security and independence. Children and pets are welcome!

If you’re traveling with infants, we can provide a portable crib and children's bedding upon request with at least one day's notice. Complimentary bed linen and towel changes are offered every seven days (please request in advance).

We are professional hosts and pay close attention to every detail to ensure your stay is outstanding.

Weekly cleaning service is available for R$ 300 (please request at least one day in advance).

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Everything is designed for your independence and comfort.

Check-in is completed remotely, and your access code will be sent to you on the day of your arrival, around 1:00 PM (please ensure you have an active Wi-Fi connection). You may enter the property from 2:00 PM onwards.

Check-out must be completed by 12:00 PM. Need different times? Please contact us in advance — we are happy to assist.

Guest identification documents must be submitted at least 72 hours before arrival. Your information is securely protected according to data protection regulations.

History and Local Identity

Until the late 19th century, Urca did not exist—the waters of Guanabara Bay reached right up to the rocks in this region. The neighborhood was created in the 1920s on reclaimed land as part of an urban development initiative, turning it into one of Rio’s most exclusive locales. It was on this stretch between the hills of Cara de Cão and Sugarloaf Mountain that Estácio de Sá founded the city of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro in 1565. The São João Fortress stands at this historic site, preserving the memory of the city’s beginnings.
